Who am I?
I am a freelance artist, theatre maker, and project coordinator based in the West Midlands. At present, as an associate artist of the award winning theatre company The Wardrobe Ensemble, I am currently touring 'Education, Education, Education' across the UK. Over the past few years, I have also led a number of diverse artistic projects, focused on making art accessible to diverse communities and encouraging intergenerational understanding. In all that I do, I hope to enable people to see the world around them differently, challenge conventional wisdom, and discover more about themselves and the society of which they are a part. This year, I have been incredibly fortunate to have been awarded the Feeney Fellowship by the Feeney Trust to support me in developing my craft as an artist and to develop my understanding of the place of theatre in Birmingham and the Black Country.
I am going to be using this simple site to post some thoughts and reflections throughout this time, documenting the people I meet and the projects I get involved in. It will also be a forum to share my thoughts on theatre and the world in general. Take a look around, have a peak at some of the projects I have been involved in, and get in contact if you'd like to have a chat.
